Rom 1:1 apostle — one of the five-fold ministries (Eph 4:11-12), whose calling it is to plant and oversee churches.

Rom 1:7 in — all blessings come from the Father, in Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit.

Rom 1:10 — there are nine gifts of the Spirit: three revelation gifts, three power gifts, and three declaring gifts. The revelation gifts are wisdom, knowledge, and discernment. The power gifts are faith, miracles, and healing. The declaring gifts are prophesy, tongues, and interpretation of tongues (1 Cor 12:8-11).

Rom 1:17 — Habakkuk 2:4

1 Paul, a disciple of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, 2 (which He had promised beforehand by His prophets in the Holy Scriptures) 3 regarding His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who in His humanity was born of the seed of David; 4 and was declared the Son of God with power, through the Holy Spirit, by the resurrection from the dead. 5 In Him we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith of all people, for His name. 6 You are likewise the Saints of Jesus Christ. 7 To all in Rome, beloved of God, called to be His Saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father, in the Lord Jesus Christ.

8 First, I thank my God for all of you in Jesus Christ, because your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world. 9 God knows that I pray for you always without ceasing, in my spirit declaring the gospel of His Son; 10 seeking any means to find a way in the will of God to come to you at last; 11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you the gifts of the Spirit, so that you may be established; 12 and that we may be mutually encouraged and comforted by one another’s faith.

13 I would not want you unaware, my brothers and sisters, that I often purposed to come to you, (but until now have been hindered) so I may reap the same harvest among you as I have in the rest of the world14 My mandate it to reach all people, both the elite and the outcast, whether they be wise or unwise.15 So, for my part, I am ready to preach the gospel to you also that are at Rome.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation for every one who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, "The just must live by faith."
